A butoh-ish dance work exploring how new media — the influence of the social internet, digital culture, and memes — affects ways of being in the world, from making a quick video of a dance to having a cry. The piece takes a particular interest in ideas of nostalgia and dreamscape as represented and proliferated through internet subcultures, portrayed in the abstract through found gesture and hazy score.
